The
Faculty of Architecture is the only institution of its kind in
Slovakia. The Faculty provides a six year university model of
study associated with the research in the branches: Architecture,
Urbanism (Urban Design, Town and Country Planning), Spatial Planning
and Design. Research activities aim at various areas of architectural
and urban design and planning, protection of historic cites, renovation
and reconstruction of historic environments in the European context
as well as revitalization of dysfunctional town centres - humanization
and concept of "urban/architectural integration of functions
determining multi-functioning buildings".
