The Department
is involved in research, development, consultancy, education and
dissemination activities on technology in building and planning
processes, with special interests in sustainability and ecology,
processes of innovation and technical change in the construction
industry, technical support to the building design and construction
professions throughout Europe, building economics economic and
sustainability evaluation in urban planning and building design,
with special reference to rehabilitation and urban cultural-historical
heritage.
The Department has a special experience in technical, environmental
and economic consultancy in urban redevelopment as support to
public or private choices and participates in many redevelopment
projects in Italy together with local municipalities and private
developer
